Lake Como, Italy

We took the train from Milan to the ferry at Como.

A beautiful scenic cruise then landed us in Bellagio.

Vienna

Vienna is a beautiful modern city. Here I am at my best, sampling the local cuisine. Also in this square is the memorial to the Holocaust. It must be guarded at all times to prevent vandalism.

 I loved the painted top of the merry-go-round in front of the entrance to the market area. 

Menton

Our B&B

Menton is a lovely town in the South of France, very close to Italy. We stayed at a wonderful Airbnb for a week, enjoying traveling by the coast train to Italy, and to other places like Monaco.

Ville Franche-sur-Mer

The only way up from the beach was a grueling walk up an endless, steep hill.

A beautiful little seafront village, we came here on the train. However, the way back was not as expected, due to the train being delayed.

So we took the long way back up to the coast!!

Aix-en-Provence

• We’ve spent a lot of time in the Provence region, including Aix and Arles. Its the most beautiful of France, with lavender fields, golden sunshine, and rolling hills.
